After Sinwar was killed while trying to flee Gaza, Israel offered to spare all surviving Hamas terrorists if they would lay down their arms and release the hostages. The response was to double down on the rhetoric to destroy Israel and to fire a few rockets.

So much for negotiation. Let Israel fight the war they have to fight, not the one someone wishes they would fight.
