BACK ON LINE HERE IN TAMPA!
After six days and nights without power or internet, courtesy of Hurricane Milton, we’re back. Fortunately, we suffered no damage or flooding on our property, but other parts of the state did not fare as well. for the 123d years in a row, Tampa was spared a direct hit and the horrific consequences it brings. That doesn't mean there was no damage, and we were lucky.
It could have been worse.
Compared to other parts of the Tampa Bay Area, the City of Tampa and Hillsborough County got off comparatively easy. The region had not yet recovered from Hurricane Helene the week and a half before. There was significant flooding in areas near water, and wind did quite a bit of damage, but once again, we in Seminole Heights were once again spared the death and destruction we witnessed all around us. (A hundred twenty years in a row, but who’s counting?)
It was an interesting week, spent mostly in quiet, as the entire neighborhood lost power, and there was little traffic.
Now I’m back to normal speed, and will be posting again on all your favorite topics.
Thanks for reading!
