HOW I BECAME THE GAZA WAR ADULT IN THE ROOM
I concede I am a very opinionated person.
Who else would write opinion pieces?
To some, “opinion” means anything they say or believe, and because it is their opinion, it must be right, all others must be wrong, and proof is not required. To me, an opinion not supported by facts is mindless bloviating.
People employing such faulty methodology arrive at wildly unsubstantiated claims, such as Trump won the 2020 election, COVID was a hoax, Jews are replacing white workers with immigrants of color, the FBI is running a deep state operation, Elvis lives, and the Illuminati are behind everything. Whether it’s the John Birch Society, the Tea Party, the different components of MAGA (White Christian Nationalists, neo-Nazis, armed militias, hate groups) or the sordid collection of anti-Israel and Jew hating mobs on campuses and in the streets, it’s the same unhinged, uninformed, hate driven conspiratorial disease. The dangerous part is that once someone goes down that rabbit hole, it’s really hard to get them back. (One reason law firms and financial institutions are keeping tabs on such protesters, to make certain they don’t hire them.)
