I agree with you that it is senseless to argue over how long either Jews or Palestinians have been in the region; both have been there so long, that it makes no difference. Even if it did make difference, there are eight million Jews in Israel and close to that many Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza. (also 1.8 million living in Israel as citizens.) So anyone who suggests one side or the other should be removed are nothing less than haters, dividers, and deluded. A two state solution is the only solution. After Oct 7, a Palestinian State is at least a generation away. Gaza needs to be built up again from the ground up, a peaceful civil society needs to be developed, conditions must reach the point of trust for a dedicated road linking Gaza and WB. This will not occur overnight. Gaza is going to be under Israeli control for decades. The lives of the Gazans will improve once Hamas is gone. The leadership of Hamas was just criminally charged in America.
