KAMALA DID NOT “STEAL” TRUMP’S NO-TAX-ON TIPS PROPOSAL

The facts: Trump adopted Ron Paul’s 2007 plan, and Kamala Harris adopted the competing Nevada Culinary Union plan, with proposals to raise the minimum wage and increase taxes on the wealthiest Americans and corporations. Most media are too lazy to do the research, but not this site!

Let’s explode this ridiculous claim that Trump came up with a brilliant plan to end taxes on server tips, and Kamala Harris stole the idea, somehow thinking she could get away with it.

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Back in 2007, Republican Congressman Ron Paul proposed a plan to end taxes on server tips. Servers are exempt from minimum wage laws, so there was the thought that this would help them get by. The idea gained support from Senators in both parties, but because there was no plan to recover the lost taxes, the idea went nowhere.

Trump had the White House and both Houses of Congress for two years, but he never brought up this allegedly great idea as legislation he’d like to sign. (And note, Trump never gave a word of credit to Ron Paul, so who really “stole” an idea in this instance?)

A few months ago, while campaigning in Nevada, Trump revived the old Ron Paul idea. It was promptly soundly rejected by the Nevada Culinary Union, the biggest union in this swing state, and one…
