SHOULD JOE AND MIKA HAVE MET OFF CAMERA WITH TRUMP?
Journalists of all types should engage with important people, President-Elects included, but it should be in a televised or transcribed interview. It’s not a reason to stop listening to Morning Joe.

Once upon a time Joe Scarborough was a very conservative Republican member of Newt Gingrich’s “Contract with America” political reversal of fortune for the GOP House Caucus. Joe spent six years as a budget-cutting, security-mined, Clinton-hating firebrand.
Mika Brzezinski, daughter of President Carter’s National Security Adviser, was a respected correspondent and anchor when she became Joe Scarborough’s co-host on Morning Joe. The couple were married in 2018.
When Donald Trump first came down that golden escalator in 2015, Joe and Mika were friendly with him, to the point it threatened their reputation for journalistic integrity.
