So it is all a matter of money? If it isn't costing the US taxpayer anything, then genocide is ok? That's the old Charles Lindbergh era America First attitude.
If someone is not a taxpayer, like say a student or outside agitator, under your cost-analysis, do they lose their right to weigh in? Do those with hefty tax bills every year and support for Israel, count more than a protester who pays no taxes? (Of course not.)
This isn't about taxes. It's about holding Israel to a different standard than China, Turkey, Russia, Sudan, or Myanmar. The question is why.
Why do people in Europe, who are giving no military aid to Israel, but getting plenty from us, complain about Israel, but none of the others?
It's not about money, and it obviously isn't about opposing genocide.
We don't give direct military aid to Sudan or Myanmar or sell them arms, but they have no problems buying what they want on the open market. We allow Turkey, as a NATO member, to buy weapons from us without any restrictions on their use in the genocide against the Kurds. Many in Europe and some Republicans don't want us to help Ukraine because they support Russia's genocide. I'd call all of that enabling.
Have you considered that by not speaking out, by taking no action, by ignoring undeniable racism and genocide, the nations of the world are indeed enabling it?
