STALINISM IS BACK IN FASHION ON THE FAR LEFT

Far left collection of “anti-Zionists”, Jew haters, and useful idiots for Iran revive Nazi era boycott of Jews, mixing it with Stalinist intellectual thuggery.

First it was a demand that pro-Israel writers not be allowed at a book signing and forum in a Brooklyn bookstore. Now far left Irish fiction writer Sally Rooney has become the face of a new movement to exclude Israeli-read that Jews- as well as “Zionists”-read that the same way- from any cultural exchanges anywhere on the planet.

Several years ago, far left agitators demanded she speak out on political matters, as they felt her fiction to be lightweight and trivial (no argument with them on that point.) She promptly declared that in solidarity with the Palestinian People, her books would no longer be translated into Hebrew. Rooney has embraced BDS, joining its calls for boycotts until the Jewish State no longer exists.

Before tackling perceived injustices across the globe from Ireland, Ms. Rooney ought to take a look at what is happening to refugees, mostly Muslim, in her country. I wrote about this in August:
