The intentions are sincere, I'm sure, but none of it has a chance. After the murder of the six hostages, the likelihood of a ceasefire is next to nil. Israel has to destroy Hamas as a political or fighting force in Gaza, and that's not something Hamas will agree to. Once hostages are released, there is little to stop Israel from flooding the terror tunnels or blowing fifty foot craters over them. Hamas understands this. The other reality to be faced is that Israel is not going to seriously consider a Palestinian State for at least another generation, and only after decades of Israel being certain the society poses no threats to them. The world may not want to hear this, but that's the way it will be.
