THE VERDICT VERSUS THE LIES
When you get past the right wing noise machine, it’s clear the system worked as it is supposed to work. Justice was done. (Trump will appeal at once!)

The verdict is in. The jury has been discharged. Sentencing is set for July 11.
Donald Trump is now a convicted felon. We’ve had 46 Presidents, some have been paragons of virtue, others utter sleazebags; one (Nixon) was forced to resign, another (Harding) died before being dragged into the Teapot Dome Scandal. Three have been impeached but not convicted; Nixon resigned and accepted a pardon prior to his Senate trial, a majority of the Senate voted to acquit Bill Clinton, and a majority twice voted to convict Trump. (A two thirds vote is required for conviction.)
We’re hearing a lot of nonsense from Trump World, accusing everyone but Trump of being engaged in a criminal plot. One huge benefit of the trial is…
